Two laboratories with well equipped facilities for UG & PG, two air-conditioned instrumentation rooms having sophisticated instruments such as Environmental shaker (orbital), Sonicator, Trinocular Research Microscope for bright dark field with fluorescence & Digital camera attachment, PCR, Biosafety Cabinet, Biological oxygen monitor, Leaf area meter, Laminar air flow systems and Bacteriological incubation chambers and separate culture room for algal and fungal cultures to facilitate students and faculty to carry out their individual and group projects. Plant tissue culture facility established under DST-FIST.

ORCHID CLUB:
Objectives:
- Promote academic interest in the minds of students
- Identify their potentials and developing them through various competitions at departmental, interdepartmental and intercollegiate level

Parents Teachers Meet: The department conducts
The department conducts Parents Teachers meeting every academic year to highlight the departmental activities to the parents and to keep them aware of their children's performance in academic criteria. Nearly 90 parents attended the program during this academic year (2008-2009).
